Original period manufacture. Straight guard, rounded birdhead pommel, contoured wood grips and a blue finished blade.The blade displays evidence of an old cleaning, which removed the original blue finish. Now the blade displays a bright finish, with a shallow nick, or bump in the cutting edge. Clear makers logo on the ricasso of the letter K within a star.Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Original finish wooden grips, displaying typical marring and denting from service use.Scattered denting on the steel scabbard, with a patina finish overall; patches of light surface corrosion, missing the scabbard throat screw.
