A scarce original 1948 - 1974 period 'City of York Fire Brigade cap badge'; chromium plated Home Office star with applied red and white enamel gilt York City Arms. Very good condition, but with ONLY ONE of its original two loop fittings, no damage to the enamel, minimal wear. Diameter 45mm. In 1974 City of York Fire Brigade merged to form North Yorkshire Fire Service.
