WW1 John Crossley & Sons Ltd Halifax war workers badge

A scarce original First World War period 'John Crossley & Sons Ltd Halifax gilt and enamel badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini Bradford' and official issue number '1333'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, some minor stress marks. Height 36mm. 'John Crossley and Sons Ltd Halifax' were carpet manufacturers, during the First World War they turned ther hands to producing webbing and blankets and the factory was used for munition production.
