National Savings 25 years service award badge

A scarce original 'National Savings service award badge'; gilded brass example inlaid with patriotic red, white and blue enamelling and suspended from a 25 years service bar. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect. Height 43mm. The National Savings funds were sold to the public in the form of saving stamps, certificates, and bonds, which you could buy at the Post Office, banks and building societies the funds were then sent to the government, workers for the movement were recognised for their dedication by the issuing of long service awards.
