WW1 City Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment enamel lapel badge

A rare original First World War period 'Liverpool Pals lapel badge'; circular gilt convex example inlaid with patriotic circles of red, white and blue enamel, the outer bearing the Latin phrase 'Civis Britannicus Sum', the inner white 'City Battalion The King's Liverpool Regiment', with crest of 'Lord Derby' to centre on blue enamel ground. Very good condition, the original buttonhole lapel fitting replaced with latter period pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Diameter 25mm.
