British Petroleum BP advertising badge by J.R.Gaunt

A scarce original circa 1950's 'British Petroleum promotional lapel badge'; gilded brass example in the form of a large shield inlaid with green enamel and bearing the company's 'BP' logo, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Very good condition, complete with original lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, minor surface scratches. Height 28mm.
