London Transport railway staff numbered cap badge by Gaunt

A scarce original circa 1939 to late 1950's early issue 'London Transport railway cap badge' worn by various grades of staff in the form of large nickel plated circular surround, inlaid with yellow enamel, plain bar across voided centre with blue enamel with four figure number '7745', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Good condition, complete with original two loop fittings, enamel intact with very minor nick top right, nickel plating worn mainly across centre. Diameter 47mm.
