A rare original wartime period 'Newfoundland Civil Defence Air Raid Precaution warden badge'; silver plated example bearing red enamel title circlet, embossed 'ARP' on seeded ground, the reverse impressed with Canadian maker's details 'Scully Ltd Montreal'. Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, very minor nick in the 8 o'clock position. Diameter 28mm.
