Doncaster Royal Infirmary 1955 best nurse of the year gold medal

A rare original 'Dr. Henry Joy Clarke Medal' from the 'Doncaster Royal Infirmary' for 'The Best Nurse of the Year', the reverse impressed with Birmingham 9 carat gold hallmarks for 1954, maker's details 'W.J.D' (William James Dingley) and inscribed to the recipient 'Catherine J.R.McVitty 1955,'. Excellent condition, complete with original blue silk ribbon and suuspension bar with pin fittings and contained in a velvet lined leather case with jewellers details to the inside 'Bell Brothers Goldsmiths & Watchmakers Doncaster'.
