A scarce original circa 1947 'Companion of the Women's Institute The Polytechnic badge'; silver title circlet inlaid with green enamel, the Polytechnic's St George & Dragon logo within 'Maltese Cross' to voided centre, the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1947 and maker's details 'JT&Co' (John Taylor & Co London) with later inscription 'M.G.Taylor Joined. 1932 Elected. 1947'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, old replacement safety roller catch hook, small nick to enamel in the 7 o'clock position. Diameter 35mm.
