WW2 Rest Centre Service air raid welfare badge

A good original Second World War period gilt and enamel 'Rest Centre Service badge'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect, gilt remains fresh. Diameter 26mm. Worn by local authority staff working in requisitioned buildings, used to provide shelter for those who had been made homeless from the destruction of their houses following an air raid.
