League of Honour 1914 patriotic women of the British Empire badge

A good original Great War period 'League of Honour 1914' celluloid tin button badge; the centre depicting the red cross St. George flag, over laurel sprays on white ground within a blue band title surround. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, colour remains bright. Diameter 25mm. Established at the outbreak of the war and for its duration, with women and girls members pledging to uphold the honour of the Empire and its defenders by prayer, purity, and temperance. The League's motto was 'Strength and Honour'.
