Sold
£35.00

Description

A scarce original piece of Royal Air Force memorabilia in the form of a brass key fob, impressed in relief with 'RAF' and stamped with official number '4208', together with an alloy name tag inscribed 'G.J.Dorling.'. Good condition, with service wear. Diameter 33mm. Possibly George James Dorling who enlisted into the Territorial Royal Flying Corps in January 1915, he appears to have transferred to the Royal Air Force with the number 400841, this would indicate September 1918. His RAF service papers are not available for public viewing which would indicate he continued service with the RAF after 1924.
