Description

A scarce original 'Boy Scout Medal of Merit award', the reverse inscribed 'H.L.Cane 4.10.61'. Very good mint condition, retaining original green silk ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings, gilt remains bright. Complete with newspaper cutting dated December 18, 1961. with photograph of the presentation which reads 'Mr.Harold Lee Cane, of Kendal, is invested with this Chief Scout's award, the Medal of Merit, by the county commissioneer for Westmorland, Mr H.Lewis Baron, at the 'Gang Show' on Saturday. The award was made in recognition of Mr Cane's outstanding services.'
