A superb original Great War period rare 'Comforts For Soldiers War Work Depot Brighton badge'; fine quality example bearing the blue enamel 'Arms of Brighton' to the centre between the date scrolls 'AUG 1914' and 'DEC1918'. The reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1918, maker's details 'V&S' (Vaughton & Sons Birmingham). Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect. Height 24mm. Width 41mm.
