WVS Civil Defence home front badge by W.J.Dingley Ltd.

A scarce post 1953 'WVS Civil Defence chromium plated enamel badge' bearing a voided Queen's Crown, the reverse with maker's details 'W.J.Dingley Ltd 77 Warstone Lane Birmingham 18'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Height 29mm. The 'Women's Voluntary Service' became the 'Women's Royal Voluntary Services' in 1966.
