Victorian Primrose League Association reversible ladies official badge

A very attractive Victorian 'Primrose League brooch', open to be worn by all ladies of the League, Dames or Associates. The reversible brooch, the rim in gilt with revolving centre, shows to one face a conventional primrose with 'PL' to the centre and surrounded by the motto 'Imperium Et Libertas', the reverse being similar but without the monogram, with maker's details to the rim 'W.O.Lewis Howard St BIRMm'. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, minor nick to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 32mm.
