Merchant Navy Senior Surgeon rank shoulder board epaulettes

A scarce original circa pre-war 'Shipping Line Senior Surgeon pair of matching epaulettes', complete with Merchant Navy gilt button and full length ties. Excellent condition. These epaulettes accompanied the previous 'Royal Mail Lines' cap badge. Do not know if there is any connection.
