An extremely rare First World War period '36th Division Ulster Volunteer Force UVF badge'; Crowned shamrock wreath with seven battle honours, the last 'Thiepval' on which rests the 'Red Hand of Ulster', blue enamel ribbon title scroll '36 Ulster Div'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham 15 carat gold hallmarks for 1918, maker's details 'V&S' (Vaughton & Sons Birmingham) also engraved 'Neill Belfast'. Excellent condition, retaining original pin fitting, enamel perfect.Height 32mm.
