GQ Parachutist Qualification parachute badge RAF, Free French

A scarce original early pattern 'Gregory & Quilter Parachute Company silver plated winged parachute canopy GQ badge' depicting a parachutist, the slightly smaller slim wings inlaid with orangey red enamelling, the reverse impressed 'G.Q. Parachutist'. Fair condition, retaining original tube joint pin fitting and flat rolled catch, heavy enamel loss and service wear to silver plating. Width approx 36mm. The 'GQ Parachutist badge was given by the 'Gregory & Quilter Company' to anyone who had completed parachute training using their parachutes.
