MV Llangibby Castle shipping line spoon 1929 -1954

A scarce original circa 1950's period 'MV Llangibby Castle souvenir spoon', chromium plated example, the finial displaying a brass and enamel circular badge with 'Union-Castle Line' company flag within a blue enamel title strap. Very good condition, enamel perfect, minimal service wear. Length 115mm. 'MV Llangibby Castle' was a passenger liner of the Union-Castle Line, operating between 1929 and 1954. The ship was named after the Welsh castle at Llangybi, Monmouthshire, Wales.
