Ancient Order of Foresters 1892 meeting Ipswich AOF Jewel badge

A scarce original Victorian 'Foresters Friendly Society jewel' gilded metal example in the form of a 'Coptic Cross' with an applied silver circular disc bearing the 'Coat of arms of the Ancient Order of Foresters' in high relief within a green enamel title surround; the medal is complete with green silk ribbon with gold leaf inscription 'High Court Meeting Ipswich 1892' this depends from a ornate gilt suspension bar with original pin fittings. Very good condition, enamel with minor service wear and fading to inscription, gilt finish remains bright. Diameter 45mm. Overal Height 105mm.
