$995.00 β€”

Description

Original era manufacture. A complete example of the classic German Army helmet with an nice original Heer pattern decal as shown. Most of the original factory paint remains. Size and maker marked NS64, with a lot number which appears to be D106. Complete and pliable brown leather liner with an adjusting string, all fingers are present with none of them broken. The original chinstrap is present, however about 3 inches of the tip has broken off, but the piece is still with the helmet and can be repaired. The liner is pulled in on the sides, likely from being hung by it's chinstrap for many years, which was the probable cause of the break. Hand painted in silver on the inside of the neckskirt is 19 'FRANCE' 44, done by the GI who brought it home. While he was admiring his handiwork, he evidently tried his hand at 'touching up' the decal with silver paint, you judge for yourself how well he did. A great old German helmet from WWII.
