National Union of Boot & Shoe Operatives NUBSO membership badge

A scarce original early example of a 'National Union of Boot & Shoe Operatives lapel badge', large circular gilded brass badge inlaid with dark blue and light blue enamel and bearing an embossed brass vintage ladies shoe to the center, the reverse with maker's details 'T. Fattorini Bolton' and Registered Design and Patent Number 'REG638232' (1914). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting and perfect enamel, minor service wear to gilt finish. Diameter 25mm.
