National Union of Trained Nurses 1913 hallmarked silver badge

A fine quality rare badge for the 'National Union of Trained Nurses', a silver six pointed star inlaid with green translucent enamel with conjoined letters 'NUTN' in a circle to the centre and suspended from a bar with the unions motto 'Per Ardua Ad Astra', the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1913 and with maker's details to both parts 'W.O.L' (W.O.Lewis Howard St Birmingham).' Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example of this rare badge. Height 42mm.
