Japanese WWII Late Type 30 Bayonet, Toyoda Mfg, Square Pommel

Original period manufacture. A late war example featuring a blue finished blade without fullers, straight guard, square typepommel and slightly contoured wooden grips. No nicks or dents to the cutting edge, however spotting from cleaned surface corrosion is visible. Even steel patina finish on the blade andmetal fittings, with a very clear Toyoda stamp on the ricasso. Sound wooden grips, no cracks or chips, which appear to have been cleaned. Original dark olive paint to the two-piece wooden scabbard which is bound with two bands of painted twine. Dark steel patina to the scabbard throat and chape.
