Industrial Civil Defence Service volunteer ICDS badge 1953 to 1968

An original post 1953 period 'Industrial Civil Defence Service' gilt and enamel lapel badge, Queen Elizabeth Crowned circlet 'ICDS' on blue enamel ground, enclosing the 'Royal Lion of England' central device, the reverse with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd. 38,Barr St. B'Ham' Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. Height 26mm. In 1968 the Industrial Civil Defence Service was disbanded along with all other Civil Defence organisations.
