A very rare First World War, London City & Midland Bank Ltd, On War Service 1914 gilt and enamel badge, the central device depicting the combined crests of the City of London and Midland Bank. Very good condition, original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright. Diameter 31mm. iThe London City and Midland Bank was named Midland Bank Ltd in 1923 and in 1992 it was taken over by HSBC Holdings plc. The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
