US WWI Era, 1904 Pattern Cavalry Saddle Bags, RIA

Original era manufacture. All russet color, pliable leather construction with brass buckles and fittings; all  pocket cover securing straps are present. Embossed US on each flap, with white canvas liner inserts in each side. The bags are not dated, but are clearly marked Rock Island Arsenal. Missing one of the elongated brass escutcheon plates. The belly band strap is present, but the D ring on the opposite side is pulled away along with a strip of leather 1.5 x 3.5  inches in size. These are fine for display, no dryrot visible.
