Original period manufacture. Straight guard, flat bird-head pommel, contoured wood grips with a blue finish blade with fullers. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the guard and pommel, operable lock button. Original finish wood grips, showing minor denting to the surface. Dent free steel scabbard, showing a mix of blue and steel patina finish. Overall a nice example of a WWII Japanese bayonet.
