French 1st Empire Replica Cavalry Tschapka, Cheval-Legere Regiment

A very nice quality replica Tschapka, representing a French Cheval-Legere lancer regiment during the Napoleonic, 1st Empire era. This very ornate piece of headgear is in about a size 59, or 7 1/4, and is complete with a tall white feather plume and stamped brass front plate. Brass lion head bosses on each side of the helmet which secure in place a linked, leather backed, brass chinstrap. Imitation silk liner, and a wool covered body and mortarboard.
