A pair of Japanese Ko-Sode, shoulder guards. Part ofa Japanese suit of armour. Dating from the Edo periodcirca 1600-1800. Good quality for a high ranking samurai. Metal top plate with gilt brass decoration and gold laquer bottom plate. Some wear and tear with age.One bottom plate has some missing laquer.Ito has been bright orange but has faded with age.A good looking addition to any suit of armour.OVER 18'S AND U.K SALES ONLY.
