Soviet/Russian Medal for the Jubilee of the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Militia 1917 -1967

This award was established 20th November 1967 awarded to Militia members in good standing and to reservists or retirees with over 25 years of service approximately 250000 awards made. The letters LMD are stamped on the suspension ring for the Leningrad Mint on the reverse the centre reads soviet militia 1917 – 1967 and around the edge reads in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Militia mounted on the older brass five sided suspension device
