Oman Peace Medal (Midal al-Salam al-Omani)

issued by the Sultanate of Oman to members of the Armed Forces, Police and MoD for 1 year of service after 1st July 1976. The medal was manufactured by Spink of London The obverse face with national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, being a pair of crossed Omani swords in scabbards, a sheathed khunjar with belt attachments imposed, in Arabic script above 'Sultan Qaboos bin Said' and 'Sultan of Oman' below; the reverse with a dove held in a pair of hands, it reads above and below 'The Sultan's Medal for Preserving the Peace' in Arabic script;
