WW2 German War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords (KVK1)

This is a good example of a private purchase War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords by Otto Schickle of Pforzheim, please note many copies carry the L/15 LDO number, however original crosses such as this example have a distinctive oval mounting spot for both the hinge and hook on the reverse face and the LDO mark is stamped in incuse relief on the outer face of the pin as can be seen in the photograph a late war zinc example
