Description
Original era manufacture. Scarlet wool dinner jacket, with a black wool collar and cuffs, Brigadier rank on the epaulettes. Black silk lining, with a tailors tag in the collar, C.F. Johns & Pegg London, named to Col. C. Heathfield-Harrison 1935. Black wool vest with plastic buttons, with matching black wool, high waisted trousers with wide red wool leg stripes, named to the same officer and from the same tailor. Minor scattered surface mothing with a few pinholes, no tears or stains, loops for a medal bar on the upper left chest. Included is a copy of an online biography of Brigadier Harrison, who was born in 1884 and died in 1967. In 1904 he was a Lieutenant in the 72nd Punjabis. Coat is about a size 36 Long. Good research potential.
