Austro-Hungarian WWI, Officers Undress Cap, Gray Wool

Original era manufacture. Thin gray wool covered hat, tall crown, with a rigid body. Nice quality gold wire cockade on the front with the cypher of FJ1. Thin black leather, non-functioning chinstrap with a decorative rectangular buckle. Gold and black decorative braid around the base of the hat. Simple black leather visor, which is securely sewn to the body. Thin brown leather sweatband, with a full black silk lining with a gold printed makers name at top center. Overall the hat is very clean, a little out of round from poor storage, and a 5 x 3 mm moth hole on the top rear edge of the crown.
