US, Immediate Post-WWII Aircrew Cap, D-1 Extra Large

Original era manufacture. Olive wool cap with fold down matching material ear flaps and chinstrap. Leather reinforced at the front of the sweatband, large yellow on black nomenclature tag machine sewn into the lining. There is a large moth bite on the underside of the visor as shown, and a much smaller one on the right side rear of the visor. Otherwise the hat is quite clean.
