Hindenburg-Hitler Commemorative Medal 1933. The front of the medal shows the names of Hindenburg and Hitler over portraits of both leaders. The bottom bears the dates “30.1.1933-5.3.1933.” The first date was the date when Paul von Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Reich-chancellor, the second date was that of the 1933 German federal election. The reverse of the medal bears the inscription “Für ein freies geeintes und stolzes Deutschland, Hitler” (For a Free, United and Proud Germany, Hitler). The medal comes on a confectioned patriotic swatika ribbon with safety-pin to the back. Rare and decorative original medal.
