Kriegsmarine U-boat War Badge 'Schwerin'

Kriegsmarine U-boat War Badge (U-boot-Kriegsabzeichen). The U-Boat War Badge was instituted by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral: 'Erich Raeder' on 13 october 1939 for award to all ranks of U-Boat personnel who had served on at least two sorties against the enemy or were wounded in action. The badge is executed in 'Buntmetall' (tombak) and shows great detail and still retains almost all of its original golden finish showing polished highlights. The badge is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Schwerin' from Berlin. The pin & catch are of course fully functional. Stunning original badge in very good condition!
