Italian, WWI, Pre-WWII, Childs Helmet

Original era manufacture. Two piece stamped aluminum helmet and crown piece painted in Italian green. Inside are two movable loops for a chinstrap, and two mounting points for a rudimentary liner. The helmet is slightly out of round from storage, with the surface of the helmet exhibiting corrosion staining. The helmet bowl opening measures 7 inches front to back, and 7 inches side to side. OK, now this is what my guess is as to what this little helmet represents. The other possibility being an officers private purchase parade helmet. But as the helmet is rather small, I am going with the children's version and pricing it that way.
