German WWII M1935 Camouflage Field Police Helmet, NS66

Original era manufacture. This interesting helmet is size marked on the inside of the neckskirt, NS66, the liner is original to the helmet and bears a name on one side of what looks to be P or F, Hermann 42. Slot washers are affixed to each of the three rivets, with the liner leather remaining very pliable. The interior of the neckskirt has a brown over paint which has splashed up in spots onto the aluminum liner band. The exterior of the helmet is quite dark looking with splotches of green and brown paint, mixed with steel patina with shallow corrosion pitting. The remains of the two original decals show considerable wear, but are without question 'real'. An old auction tag, perhaps from Manion's, dated over 20 years ago is hanging from the right side chinstrap loop.
