Description

Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The hollow design badge is executed in 'Feinzink' and has lost most of its original silver finish. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is marked with mould number '1' and can be attributed to production by the company of 'F.W. Assmann' from Lüdenscheid. Nice original badge in good used condition.
