Soviet WWII Aviators M1935 Gymnastiorka, Major

Original period manufacture. M1935 pattern Gymnastiorka with machine sewn collar insignia and sleeve rank. Full complement of star decorated brass buttons with movable shanks on the pockets and cuffs, black painted steel buttons behind the hidden front. The collar and cuffs are piped in aviation blue, with matching blue background to the collar insignia. The red enameled rank rectangles are secured with tiny screws, the brass winged prop is attached with folding prongs. On the left sleeve is a hand embroidered pilots insignia, which has been hand sewn to the sleeve. Normal age and wear throughout, size is about a 40.
