War Merit Cross 2nd Class Award Document

This is a War Merit Cross 2nd Class Award Document (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse Urkunde). The War Merit Cross was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 18 October 1939 in two classes with both classes issued, with and without swords, for award to military personnel and civilians. This award document was awarded to dem Regierungsrat Dr. 'Eduard Nitsche' from Berlin on 1 September 1944. The DIN-A4 sized award document has regrettably been folded but is still in good condition, see scans. The document shows the facsimile signatures of Adolf Hitler and Otto Meissner and there's a beautiful large-sized embossed logo in the paper.
