GVIR 1st type Regular Army LS&GC & GVIR 1st type Efficiency medal with Territorial Suspender To- 314875.TPR.J.W.DOBSON.12-L (LS&GC) & 314875.SJT.J.W.DOBSON.R.A The recipient was born in 1889 & was a pre war regular soldier with the 12th Lancers.He was awarded his LS&GC in army order 231 of 1938. He went on to serve in WW2 as a territorial soldier with the Royal Artillery & was awarded the efficiency medal medal in army order 20 of 1946 under the wartime service counting as double time for territorial soldiers.
