US Indian Wars, M1885 45-70 Carbine Boot

Original era manufacture. A clean example of this pattern carbine scabbard, now displaying a textured finish to the leather, with a pleasing patina to the brass throat reinforcement. The body is not crushed or flattened, and never oiled. The long strap has been moved around in the past, attested to by the two holes at the top of the scabbard body. The lower connecting strap has also been moved around a couple of times as needed. A sound example overall which has seen honest service use.
