WW1 1914-15 Trio To- S-8535.PTE.R.WARDLAW.R.HIGHRS Robert Wardlaw was born at 21 George Street, Bonhill, Dumbartonshire 5-12-1885 & he enlisted in to the Black Watch / Royal Highlanders in September 1914. He first landed in France 2-6-1915 & was wounded at the battle of Loos in 1915 & after a spell in hospital in the UK he returned to France to service with the 1st battalion. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 18-4-1918 during the battalions attack on Givenchy & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Loos memorial. NEF or better & complete with MIC & medal roll details. Along with other research details & photographs of the recipients name on his local war memorial.
