GVR 1st type WW1 Military Medal (MM) & 2nd award bar To- 23056.CPL.W.QUINTON.12/R.SCOTS William Quinton first landed in France 17-9-1915 serving with the 12th service battalion of the Royal Scots. He was first awarded the MM in the London Gazette 7-10-1918 & this was followed by the award of the bar to the MM in the London gazette 13-2-1919 which stated that he had enlisted in Wolverhampton. NEF with a very minor tiny ek to the rim & complete with both MIC & London gazette details.
