GVR WW1 Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) & 1914-15 Trio To- EA.1298.W.R.LANE. E.R.A / C.E.R.A. R.N.R.HMS.SUNFLOWER.1917. The recipient was a resident of Sunderland & his award of the DSM for minesweeping services onboard HMS Sunflower was published in the London gazette 17-4-1918. He died whilst still a member of the RNR in Sunderland 18-1-1922. NEF or better & complete with both copy service papers & London gazette details.
